Air Travel:

The Reno-Tahoe International Airport (RNO) is the jumping off point for direct flights from Atlanta, Dallas, Chicago, Minneapolis, Denver, Salt Lake City, Phoenix, Las Vegas, San Diego, Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Jose, Portland, and Seattle. Carriers into RNO include American, Delta, Horizon, Northwest, Southwest, United, and US Air. The airport is located just 10 miles from downtown Reno, and has 70 incoming flights daily.

By Car:

[R169R, Heavenly Valley] is approximately 75 minutes from Reno. Take US-395 South through Carson City to the junction of US-395 and Highway 50. The latter will take you to the Nevada/California border. The Heavenly Valley gondola is on Highway 50 in Stateline.

The drive from Sacramento is two hours on Highway 50 East to Ski Run Blvd. Turn right and follow the Heavenly signs.

It's a three and a half hour swing from San Francisco, starting on I-80 East. Take 80 into Highway 50 East and look for Ski Run Blvd. A right turn will bring you to Heavenly.

It'll require an eight hour drive from Los Angeles. Follow US-395 North to Bishop, Calif. and then to Minden, Nev. Turn left at the intersection of State Route 207 (Kingsbury Grade). Turn left on Tram Way Drive at the top of Kingsbury and go approximately two miles to Stagecoach Lodge. Or, after starting the descent on Kingsbury Grade, turn left on South Benjamin and drive approximately one mile to Boulder Lodge or continue on Kingsbury Grade to the Intersection of U.S. Highway 50 West. California access is at the gondola in Heavenly Village on Highway 50 and also via Ski Run Blvd. to the California Base Lodge.

Ground Transportation:

Heavenly Valley is 53 miles from RNO and 117 miles from the Sacramento International Airport (SMF). The South Tahoe Express brings snowsports enthusiasts from RNO to Heavenly for a fee.

Getting Around:

BlueGo Heavenly ski shuttles make regular stops at most lodging properties as well as the six casinos and the Heavenly base area. The white vehicles are wheel-chair accessible and free. They serve skiers and riders from November to May.
